For six generations, the Peytavy family has tended the hillsides of Clos de l’Amandaie, located in the beautiful village of Aumelas, 25 km northwest of Montpellier. Each generation has brought its own touch of modernity, reflecting the spirit of its time while continuing to draw on the knowledge and advice passed down by previous generations.
In 2002, Philippe Peytavy and his wife Stéphanie took over the family estate. The story of Clos de l’Amandaie was born from the meeting of two people from very different backgrounds: Philippe, whose passion for winemaking was inspired by his grandfather, and Stéphanie, a native of Mauritius who came to France to complete her university studies. Together, they embarked on the remarkable adventure that has shaped Clos de l’Amandaie into what it is today.
